We are ready for final checks!

But, thankfully, he is much better and I can spend some time on the final checks.  

The finished book looks even better than I imagined.  I don't know if other authors are the same, but I had a picture in my head of how I wanted the book to look and feel.  Getting it out of my head and into print was not as hard as I expected, but then I am very lucky to have a daughter who knows me so well that when I told her what I was thinking, she has made it happen and some. 

The pages are clean and easy to read, blending my writing and graphics beautifully.  I cannot wait to go through the final checks and get it published. 

I have the ISBN numbers sorted for both print and digital, so hopefully I can load my book without too much stress.  

I am also looking at how I launch the book, locally, as I created it to help people (rather than a money maker).  I have approached a handful of places, one is eager to support me, one is trying to sort something out and the others I have not heard from.  Overall I think the response is as expected, if not a little better. 

For my launch, I want to do something different. I have the table stand with details on etc, I will have the book and then I wanted to have some gift bags for the first 50 direct sales.  As my book is for Dementia, I have made up some twiddle muffs, wishing worms and bookmarks.   My hope is that these will make an added difference to the children using my book and the Dementia suffers.

If all goes well, my book will be live next week and links in place - Yay!
